§ 621-119. Parking prohibited at all times in alleys and on narrow streets.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle, other than official public vehicles, to park such vehicle or to permit the vehicle to be parked at any time in or upon any alley within the city or in or upon any street the roadway of which is twenty-four (24) feet or less in width.

    (b)

    On all streets of which the roadway is thirty (30) feet or less in width, the parking of vehicles, except as may be otherwise permitted in this chapter, shall be restricted to one (1) side of such streets as are designated in this subsection or chapter. If any such street runs in a northerly-southerly direction, the parking of vehicles shall be permitted on the west side only of such street; and if any such street runs in an easterly-westerly direction, the parking of vehicles shall be permitted on the south side only of such street; unless otherwise specifically authorized in this chapter. The streets to which this subsection applies are as follows:

    Eleventh Street, on the south side, from Beville Avenue to Rural Street.

    East Fifty-fourth Street, on the north side, from North Keystone Avenue to a point 1,285 feet west of Keystone Avenue.

    Sixty-fourth Street, on both sides, from Tacoma Avenue to Rural Street.

    Seventy-first Street, on both sides, from Northwestern Avenue to a point 760 feet west of the west curbline of Northwestern Avenue.

    Seventy-third Street, on both sides, from Northwestern Avenue to a point 680 feet east of the east curbline of Northwestern Avenue.

    Allegheny, on both sides, from Meridian to Illinois.

    Bungalow Court, on the north side, from College Avenue to the second alley east of College Avenue.

    De Pauw Boulevard, on both sides, from Northwestern Avenue to Purdue Road.

    Meadow Drive, on both sides, from Horner Drive to Southeastern Avenue.

    New Jersey Street, on the east side, from Fort Wayne Avenue to Tenth Street.

    Park Avenue, on the east side, from Massachusetts Avenue to St. Clair Street.

    Northwestern Avenue, on both sides, from Westlane Road to a point 950 feet south of the south curbline of Seventy-first/Seventy-third.

    Northwestern Avenue, both sides, from Westlane Road to a point 1150 feet north of the north curbline of Seventy-first/Seventy-third.

    Pleasant Street, on the south side, from Spruce Street to a point 57 feet east of Spruce Street.

    Purdue Road, on both sides, from the north curbline of De Pauw Boulevard to a point 2115 feet south.
