§ 201-4. Deputy mayors.

  • There shall be one (1) or more deputy mayors appointed by the mayor, subject to the approval of the city-county council, for terms of one (1) year at the pleasure of the mayor. The deputy mayors shall have only such powers of the mayor as are specifically and explicitly delegated by the mayor and then only pursuant to authority established by ordinance of the city-county council. The city-county council may, pursuant to state law, create additional deputy mayors by ordinance and specify the extent of their authority.
